GATE 2023 INFORMATION & GUIDANCE

Every year Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted by one of the IITs or IISc in India. This year GATE exam is going to be conducted by IIT, Kanpur. They have released the Brochure for the GATE 2023 Exam recently. Interested Candidates have to apply online for the GATE Exam through the official website.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an entrance test conducted to select candidates for admission into the IITs, IISc, and top universities in India. Every Student in India dreams to study at IITs. So this GATE exam is a golden opportunity for candidates who wish to get admission to IITs & NITs. The GATE score of a candidate reflects a relative performance level in a particular subject. This GATE Score not only helps the candidates to get M.tech admission it will also help them to get jobs in Several Public Sector Undertakings such as IOCL, NTPC, ONGC, PGI, etc. Almost all Public Sector Undertakings use GATE scores for preliminary screening except very few Like SAIL, CIL, VIZAG, etc.

Candidates who have already completed their B.tech / B.pharma and students studying their final year are eligible to apply for GATE Exam 2023. GATE 2023 Online Application will be available on the official website. Online registration is available to the candidates from 30/08/2022 to 07/10/2022 (without a late fee)  & up to 16/10/2022 (with a late fee). The remaining details are available below.

Eligibility Criteria for the GATE 2023 Exam

The Candidates applying for GATE Exam should meet the below eligibility criteria such as educational qualification and Age limit. The eligibility criteria given on our website are based on the Eligibility criteria given in GATE Exam 2023 Notification.

Educational Qualification: Candidates who are currently in the final year and candidates who have already completed B.E/ B, Tech/ B.Pharmacy/B.Arch/ M.Sc/ M.A/ MCA from any recognized university are eligible to apply for the GATE  Exam.

Age Limit: No Upper Age Limit.

Application Fee: 

         For Women Candidates: Rs. 750/-   (Rs 1250/- during the extended period)

·        For SC/ST/PWD Candidates: Rs. 750/- (Rs 1250/- during the extended period)

·        For All Others: Rs. 1500/- (Rs 2000/- during the extended period)

GATE Exam Pattern: The GATE exam will contain 65 questions that cover all the subjects we have read in our Graduation carrying a maximum of 100 marks. Detailed exam pattern is available in the official notification. Please refer to GATE Notification for more details.

GOAPS Website Opens - 30 August 2022

Closing Date for Online Submission of Application (without late fee)- 07 October 2022
Extended date for online submission of application (with late fee)- 16 October 2022
Admit Card will be available on - 3 January 2023

GATE 2021 Examination - 4,5,11 and 12 February 2023

Announcement of the Results- 16 March 2023

Score card available for Download- 21 March 2023

Steps to Follow in GATE 2023 Registration

1. Log on to the official website

2. Register yourself by providing a valid email address, mobile number, and a GOAPS password.

3. After completion of Registration, GOAPS Enrollment ID will be sent to the candidate to make note of it.

4. Login with your Enrollment ID & Password and fill out the application form carefully.

5. Once the application is submitted no modifications will be allowed.

6. Check the application & Submit it.

7. Take the printout of the application.

GATE Syllabus

The syllabus for each of the papers is given separately for each branch in the official notification. They have given GATE syllabi for ME, CE, EE, EC, CS, AE, and 30+ other branches. Please refer to the notification available on our site for complete detail about GATE Syllabus.

Download GATE 2023 Admit Cards

 Admit cards for the  GATE 2023 exam will be available on the official website. Once the admit cards will be released candidates will be intimated about that through e.mail or SMS. Then candidates can download admit cards through the official site by entering their enrollment ID & Password. GATE 2023 Admit cards will be released on 03/01/2023.

GATE 2023 Results

Once the results have been released candidates can check their GATE Exam 2023 results on the official website. The result release dates will be updated on our site. GATE 2023 results are expected to be released on 16/03/2023.
