Engineering Mechanics:

The science which deals with the physical state of rest or motion of a body acted upon by forces is called Mechanics.

Types of Mechanics:

1. Statics= Deals with the body which are under the force balance. That is net effect of forces acting on the system is zero.

2. Dynamics= Concerned about force and motion caused by forces.

Kinematics= Study of motion without thinking about its causes.
