GATE 2021: Revised Syllabus & Other Changes

GATE 2021 Examination

Mode of Examination- CBT (Computer Based Test)
Date of Examination- 5 to 7 Feb 2021 and 12 to 14 Feb 2021 (Forenoon and Afternoon Sessions)

Examination Pattern
Examination Pattern is same for all subject papers. The pattern of Questions may include-
1. MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)
2. MSQ (Multiple Select Questions)
3. NAT (Numerical Answer Type Questions)

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria are relaxed. A Candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program OR has already completed any Government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible to appear for GATE-2021 examination.

AGE Limit
There is no age limit to appear GATE 2021 examination.

Scorecard Validity
Scorecard remains valid for 3 years from the date of announcement of results.

Two new subject papers are introduced

With the introduction of two new subjects, the total subject papers become- 27.
1. ES (Environmental Science and Engineering)
2. XH (Humanities and Social Sciences) in Economics/English/Linguistics/Philosophy/Psychology/Sociology.
