Compensation and Benefits

The candidate selected as Executive Trainee will have to undergo one year training during which the trainee will be paid a consolidated monthly stipend of 50,000/-. If required, the trainee would be retained for extra hours of training beyond normal working hours and on closed holidays, and in such cases would be paid an additional stipend limited to a maximum of ` 3000/-pm. On successful completion of one-year training, the Executive Trainees shall be considered for appointment as Assistant Manager in E-1 Grade in the scale of pay of `40000-3%-140000 and pay fixed at the start of the scale. In addition to Basic Pay, the candidate will be eligible for Industrial.
Dearness Allowance as applicable, HRA @ 16% of Basic pay, Perks up to 35% of Basic Pay, Contributory Provident Fund Scheme, Accident Insurance coverage, Leave Encashment, Reimbursement of Medical expenses under the Contributory Medical Insurance policy, Performance Payment etc as admissible. The CTC per annum at the minimum of the scale as on date works out to 11 Lakhs approx.

Age limit as on 20 August 2018

(i) The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall be 27 years as on 20 Aug 2018, relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD). Age relaxation of five years applicable for candidates who have been domicile of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 as per Govt. of India Guidelines. 
(ii) The date of birth as recorded in the Birth Certificate/Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate/Aadhar Card/Passport will only be accepted. In case of discrepancy in date of birth recorded in other certificates, the Date of Birth recorded in Aadhar Card shall be taken.

Method of Selection

The selection process comprises of two phases:
Phase-I - Objective Type Online Test (70 marks) The Online Test shall be of 75 Minutes duration comprising of 70 Multiple Choice Questions in the areas of General Awareness(5 Marks), English Language(5 marks), Numerical Ability(5 marks), Reasoning Ability(5 marks) and Subject Based(50 marks). Each question carries one mark and there will be no negative marks
Phase-II - Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (30 marks)

Marks are assigned to the following parameters for preparing the merit list of selection: 
(a) Objective Type Online Test: 70 marks 
(b) Group Discussion (GD): 10 marks 
(c) Personal Interview: 20 marks 
------------------------Total: 100 marks------------------

The Phase-I selection process will be held at various test centres in India as notified by CSL and Phase-II will be held at Kochi. The centres for Phase-I selection process will be New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates shall have the option to choose only one test Centre for the online test. Test centre once chosen shall be final and request for change in test centre shall not be considered. The Objective Type Online test is tentatively scheduled during the 2nd/ 3rd week of September 2018.

Psychometric test will be conducted after Phase I test for assessment of candidates short-listed for GD/ interview, on suitable dates as decided by CSL.

For the Group Discussion / Personal Interview, Candidates will be short listed in the ratio of 1:6 for each post based on the marks secured by the candidates in online test in the order of merit/reservation of posts. Discipline wise merit lists will be prepared on the basis of percentile of marks secured by candidates in the online test. In case, same percentile of marks secured by more than one candidate, percentile marks scored in the subject part of the online test will be the basis of determining the order of merit list. In case of a tie thereafter, relative merit will be decided based on seniority in age. In the case of SC / ST / PwD Candidates, the ratio of candidates to be short-listed will be as prescribed by CSL. (vii) CSL reserves the right to fix the same or separate minimum marks for pass in the online test for different disciplines / categories of candidates. (viii) CSL also reserves the right to increase/ decrease the above ratio and also to fix a cut off mark for eligibility for the purpose of short listing candidates for the group discussion and interview, for consideration for selection.

Application fee:

Application fee of 750/-(Non-refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be
remitted using the online payment options (Debit card / Credit card / Internet
Banking) in the Application Portal. No other mode of payment will be accepted.

No application fee for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled
Tribe (ST) / Person with Disability (PWD). They are exempted from payment of
application fee.

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering for undergoing Apprenticeship Training in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Avionics Division, Korwa, Amethi for a period of one year as an Apprentice Trainee.


(a) Candidate should have successfully completed 3 years Diploma in Engineering from a recognized university/Board in the above-mentioned subject fields only.
(b) The gap between the date of joining and passing date of the qualification should not be more than 3 years.
(c) Candidates who have Work experience of one year or more are not eligible.
(d) The candidate who has completed/resigned/terminated/undergoing Apprentice Training or registered under Apprentices Act are not eligible.

Selection Process:

(a) The Selection for Engagement of Apprentices will be based on 100% Merit, taking into consideration the Total Aggregate Marks secured in the Diploma Examination.
(b) Reservation will be applied as per Apprenticeship Act 1961 (OBC-27%, SC-20%, ST-01% & PH (Divyang)-03%). Percentage of disability should not be less than 40%.
(c) 10% seats are reserved for the children’s of HAL Employees.
(d) Shortlisted candidates shall undergo Medical Examination and will have to be declared fit by Govt. Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon (Gazetted).
(e) Candidates must obtain Police Clearance Certificate from the Commissioner/Superintendent of Police from the place where the candidate resides and join the training within the stipulated time.

Age Limit:

Maximum age limit 26 years for General Candidate, Relaxable by 03 years in case of OBC, 05 Years
in case of SC/ST candidate & 10 Years for PH candidate as on 27.07.2018)

Stipend & Period of Training:

Stipend @ Rs. 3,542/- per month or as revised by the Government will be payable to the apprentice.
The period of Apprenticeship Training will be One Year only.

General Instructions to the candidates:
1. The applicants are advised to register to get Enrollment Number in the portal; and must indicate the Enrollment Number in Application Form.
2. Application form in the Excel File must be sent to E-mail ID: only.
3. The subject of E-mail must be Enrollment Number & Name only.
4. The name of Excel File (Application Form) must be Enrollment number only.
5. The last date of sending application form through E-mail is 27.07.2018. The E-mail sent after 27.07.2018 will not be accepted.
6. The Wards of the Serving /Retired /Deceased Employees of HAL are required to submit the details of the Employee, duly certified by the Concerned HR Officer of respective division in the attached Format with the e-mail.
7. A self-attested copies of the following documents along with one latest passport size photograph is to be submitted by the Provisionally Selected Candidates during Verification of Original Documents :
1)High School Certificate & Marksheet ,
2) Intermediate Certificate & Mark Sheet ,
3) Diploma Certificate & Mark sheet of all Semesters (including Consolidated Mark sheet
4) Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC as applicable 5) PH Certificate (if applicable).
6) HR Certified Proforma for HAL Ward.
7) Where ever CGPA/DGPA/CPI/SPI etc. is awarded, a Certificate from the respective University/Board/Institute regarding Conversion of Aggregate Marks into Percentage.
8. Latest Valid OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate issued by competent authority.
9. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.
10. After completion of Apprenticeship Training, the Apprenticeship Contracts will be terminated and there will be No obligation on the part of HAL to offer any employment.
11. No TA/DA will be paid to the applicants who are called for Verification/selection process by the company.
12. The applicants will have to make own arrangements for stay if required during the verification/selection process.
13. The Notification is available in LAN/WAN and has been hosted at Carriers Section in the HAL website
14. The list of Provisionally Selected Candidates will be available in LAN/WAN and hosted in the HAL website.
15. The above vacancies notified are provisional and may increase or decrease.
